The Many Sides of a Sick Pretty Boy Frontman

Sammy smiled as she awoke that morning. Life couldn't have been better. Her legs were actually cooperating with her and she wasn't too sore that morning. She smiled widly when she rolled to the side to see Adam sleeping peacefully. She'd never been happier than she was when she was with him. Sure he was, stubborn, sarcastic, and had a few brief lapses in judgement almost daily, but all he had to do was smile at her and she was putty in his hands.

Smiling still she bent down to place a gentle kiss on Adam's forehead, alarmed when she found a subsantial amount of warmth there. Shrugging it off until she had more concrete evidence that something was wrong, she slipped out of bed and hobbled downstairs to start making breakfast.

Adam smiled slightly in his sleep when he felt Sammy kiss his forehead, though he frowned when he went to move closer to her, only to realise Sammy had gotten up. He groaned and pulled the blankets tighter around himself, feeling cold now that Sammy wasn't there.

Adam had started feeling sick the night before and had disappeared into his study after dinner to hide that fact, not wanting to admit he was sick. He'd coughed once at the dinner table, but had passed it off as choking on something.

Sammy started making breakfast as normal, smiling when she saw Monte coming down the stairs. She stopped to poor him his usual glass of juice, sitting a separate glass in the fridge for when Lennon got up.

Lennon came down a few minutes later, rubbing his eyes, still half asleep. "Morning mama," He yawned. "Morning Monte and...where's dad?" He asked, pausing; Adam usually up before he was.

"Morning Len," Monte smiled, getting up to grab Lennon's juice to hand him. "Your daddy's still asleep, I don't think he's feelin' too well," said Sammy.

"Oh...he's not?" Lennon asked, looking worried for a second before smiling at Monte.

"Seemed like he was running a fever when I got up earlier," said Sammy, "and to disappear like he did after dinner last night....."

"He said he had work to do..." Lennon yawned, running a hand through his hair, mumbling something afterwards.

"I know what he said," said Sammy, "but I checked the office, nothing was done."

"Oh..." Lennon said, frowning as he went to sit down.

"Don't worry Lennon," said Sammy. "I'll take care of your daddy, just try not to catch whatever he has."

Lennon nodded. "Kay..." He said, drinking the juice Monte had given him.

Sammy started making the boys each a plate of food.

Adam came down not long after, having showered so he wasn't so cold, he sat down with a newspaper as he tried to look as if he felt fine.

Sammy smiled when she saw him. "Morning baby."

"Hey." Adam said, smiling back. He put down the paper and turned to hold his arms out for a hug.

Sammy walked over and hugged Adam, kissing his cheek.

Adam smiled and hugged Sammy tightly, pulling her close.

Sammy smiled. "Love you Addy."

"I love you too." Adam said, still hugging Sammy.

Sammy chuckled. "You gonna let me finish breakfast, or hug me all day?"

Adam slowly let Sammy go, pouting afterwards. "Sorry..." He mumbled, looking back down at his paper.

"Don't pout Addy," said Sammy. "I'm almost done."

Adam nodded, pretending to be busy reading something on the page his paper was open to.

Sammy quickly made Monte and Lennon their plates, before pouring Adam's coffee and making his plate.
