Lennon closed his mouth, staring up at Monte, a scared look in his eyes.

Lennon nodded and shivered, reaching a hand out for his blankets.

Monte grabbed the blanket and covered Lennon up, trying not to show his worry when the number on the thermometer kept going up.

Lennon closed his eyes once the blanket was covering him, pulling it tight around himself, shifting uncomfortably.

Monte breathed a sigh of relief when the thermometer finally beeped, moving to pull it from Lennon's mouth.

Lennon groaned, slowly reaching a hand up to brush his hair off his face, opening his eyes again to look at Monte.

Monte stared down at the reading on the thermometer. He knew it was high 103.8, but he didn't realize how dangerously high that was. He cleared the number, not wanting to scare Lennon, and grabbed the medicine bottle.

Lennon stared up at him, still out of it, aware that Monte was there, but not really aware of much else.

Monte managed to get the cap off the bottle after a minute or two, filling the medicine cup up with the thick red liquid, figuring Lennon was so sick it wouldn't matter how much he took. "Gonna give you the medicine now 'kay?" said Monte.

"Kay..." Lennon said weakly, slowly moving to sit up, blinking as he tried to focus on what he was doing.

Monte put an arm around Lennon to hold him up, and raised the medicine cup to his brother's lips.

"Thanks..." Lennon mumbled when Monte helped hold him up, leaning forwards slightly to drink the medicine.

Monte nodded, tilting the cup a bit so Lennon could get it all down.

Lennon gave a small smile once he'd finished it all, shivering again. "C-Cold..." He said, wrapping his arms around himself.

"Lay back down Len," said Monte. "I'll go get you a drink and go hide this stuff again."

"Kay..." Lennon said, yawning and lying back down, curling back up.

Monte quickly took the thermometer and medicine back to his room before hurrying to the kitchen, making a glass of juice for Lennon, and hurrying back up the stairs.

Lennon was half asleep when Monte returned, jumping when he heard someone come into the room.

Lennon smiled and relaxed, opening his eyes. "Hey Monte."
