Fortune Favors The Brave

"Wish it was that easy sugar," said Kiara.

"Me too." Justin said, pouting.

"Hey now," said Kiara. "No pouts."

"But...I feel horrible..." Justin mumbled, frowning.

"I know sugar, I know," said Kiara.

Justin groaned and curled up more.

Kiara sighed, wishing she could help more.

After a few minutes, Justin suddenly sat up, groaning and putting a hand to his head as the movement made his head spin.

"Easy Justin, easy," said Kiara.

"I...just remembered I never turned my phone back on..." Justin said, looking worried.

"It'll be fine," said Kira. "You don't need to deal with that right now anyway."

"But...but what if someone needs me...? Like my ma...or...or Heath..." Justin said, running a hand through his hair nervously.

"Shhhhh," said Kiara softly. "You need to rest and get better right now, okay?"

Justin went to argue, then changed his mind and slowly nodded.

Kiara smiled. "It'll be fine, I promise."

Justin gave a small smile and relaxed slightly.

Kiara took the medicine cup in to the kitchen and rinsed it out

Justin sighed, leaning his head against the couch.

"You'll start to feel better soon sugar," said Kiara

"I better..." Justin groaned, laying back down.

"You will," aid Kiara.

Justin frowned, curling up again.

Kiara moved to sit next to the couch.

Justin slowly reached a hand out to Kiara.

Kiara took Justin's hand, squeezing it lightly.
