Sammy smiled. "Thanks baby."

"Don't want you hurting youself." Adam said, kissing Sammy's head.

Sammy chuckled softly. "Of course not."

Adam smiled and put his arm around Sammy.

Lennon lifted his head to look at Sammy, wondering if she was okay.

Sammy smiled at Lennon. "I'm fine munchkin."

"Good." Lennon said, smiling.

"Come on," Adam said quietly, moving to leave the room. "Before we wake him back up..."

Sammy nodded, heading downstairs.

Adam put Lennon back to bed before following Sammy.

Sammy sat down on the couch

Adam came and sat with Sammy, wrapping his arms around her. "You okay?"

Sammy nodded. "Just... worried, confused."

"Why confused?" Adam asked, guessing why she was worried.

"Adam, I'm telling you if I didn't know any better I'd think he was a teen version of Lennon or Monte," said Sammy.

"Pretty much every teenager's stubborn..." Adam said, shrugging.

Sammy shook her head. "There's more to this than that."

"Like what...?" Adam asked curiously, too stubborn to have picked up anything himself.

"It's those eyes Adam," said Sammy. "I..."

"Lots of people have brown eyes..." Adam mumbled.

"Not like those," Sammy replied, "not like yours."

"How that even be possible...?" Adam thought aloud.

"Are you absolutely sure Julie was never pregnant?" Sammy asked.

"She wasn't..." Adam frowned, shaking his head. "Not when I was with her..."

Sammy nodded, her elbows on her knees, head resting in her hands.

Adam watched Sammy quietly for a few minutes before getting up, ending up pacing before he even realised what he was doing.

"Adam honey," said Sammy gently. "Stop."
