Catch Me, I'm Falling

"I know you do hun, I know," said Sammy.

Gabriel just sighed, sobbing again.

Sammy held Gabriel close, rubbing his back

Gabriel calmed down after a few minutes, but stayed where he was.

"Just relax hun," said Sammy. "I've got you."

Gabriel nodded, moving his hands to wipe his eyes.

Sammy ran a hand through Gabriel's hair.

Gabriel smiled up at Sammy, hugging her.

Sammy hugged him back. "Feel nice to sleep in a bed again?"

"Yeah." Gabriel nodded, rolling his eyes. "Much warmer...and comfier."

Sammy nodded. "How you feeling today?"

Gabriel shrugged his shoulders. "Hard to tell...after...that." He mumbled.

"I understand," said Sammy. "You hungry?"

Gabriel thought about it for a minute before slowly shaking his head.

"You should really try to eat something at some point today," Sammy told him.

"But I'm not hungry..." Gabriel said, though he actually was.

"At least try Gabriel, please," said Sammy.

"Why...?" Gabriel asked quietly, used to missing meals.

"Because, you're dangerously thin," said Sammy

"Oh...am I?" Gabriel frowned, slowly looking down at his arms.

Sammy nodded. "Yeah."

"Okay..." Gabriel said, sighing quietly, slowly moving to get up, forgetting about his injury.

"Need help?" Sammy asked.

"Help with what?" Gabriel asked as he got up, swearing and quickly using the nightstand for support after trying to stand on his injured foot.

"With that," said Sammy.
